Hujambo, Karibu Kwa Jiji La Watoto.  Hello and welcome to Jiji La Watoto.

Jiji La Watoto was born from a simple discussion about the need to teach our children their African heritage as they grow up in a unique multicultural community. By utilizing quality resources, basic materials, and – most importantly – inspiration from our childhood, we provide children a unique opportunity to experience African culture the way we remember it as youths growing up in rural and urban Kenya. Through exposure to our culture, children and their caregivers will achieve a greater understanding and appreciation of our African roots, which may also help place the entire continent of Africa in a more positive light.

Our vision is to create a virtual journey into Africa where even the youngest in our community can begin to appreciate the dynamic experience of African culture. We believe we can enable that experience and appreciation through dance, imaginative play, storytelling, and art. Our mission is to provide quality educational activities based in African culture for children and their caregivers by – Teaching African Culture through Adventure and Play.
